What is your warranty policy and after-sales support for imported transmissions?
We back every transmission we ship with a warranty program that is designed to protect both the importer and the end customer. We understand that warranty is not just a legal commitment — it is the mechanism that determines whether your customers trust you enough to buy from you again, and whether you trust us enough to place your next order. Our warranty philosophy is simple: if a product fails due to our manufacturing or material defect, we make it right, quickly and with minimal administrative burden on your team.
Warranty Coverage by Product Category
New manual transmissions for passenger cars, SUVs, and light trucks carry a 12-month or 30,000-kilometer warranty, whichever occurs first from the date of installation. New automatic transmissions — including torque-converter automatics, CVT units, and dual-clutch transmissions — carry a 12-month or 20,000-kilometer warranty. The lower kilometer cap on automatics reflects the higher thermal and mechanical stress these units endure, which makes installation quality and fluid maintenance more critical to longevity. Remanufactured transmissions carry a 6-month or 15,000-kilometer warranty covering workmanship and all replaced components. Heavy-duty transmissions for trucks, buses, and off-highway equipment carry a 12-month or 50,000-kilometer warranty with no hour-meter limitation.
Warranty Claim Procedure
The claim process is designed to be fast and fair. When an end customer reports a transmission failure, your workshop files a claim with us containing three things: clear photographs of the transmission including the serial number tag, the vehicle's make, model, year, and VIN, and a written description of the failure symptoms and circumstances. Our technical team reviews the claim within 48 business hours. If the failure appears consistent with a manufacturing or material defect, we approve the claim and ship a replacement unit with your next scheduled order — or via air freight if the situation is urgent and your customer's vehicle is immobilized. The failed unit is then returned to our factory for detailed root-cause analysis, with return shipping arranged case by case.
What the Warranty Does Not Cover
Transparency about exclusions prevents disputes. Our warranty does not cover failures caused by improper installation — incorrect fluid type or fill level, missing or reused one-time-use bolts, failure to perform TCU adaptation after AT/DCT/CVT installation, or forced assembly that damages seals or bearings. It does not cover normal wear items — clutch friction discs beyond 50% life, oil seals after the warranty period, or filter elements. Damage from external causes is excluded: vehicle collision, engine overheating that transfers heat into the transmission, water ingestion through a flooded road crossing, or aftermarket ECU tuning that increases torque beyond the transmission's design limit. Units installed in racing, rally, or competition vehicles are excluded entirely — these applications subject transmissions to loads far beyond any production design envelope.
After-Sales Technical Support
Warranty is reactive; after-sales support is proactive. Every transmission ships with a detailed installation manual in English, with Spanish, French, and Arabic translations available on request. We maintain a technical hotline staffed by senior transmission engineers who respond within 4 business hours via WhatsApp, WeChat, and email. Common installation topics we support include torque converter seating verification, transmission fluid compatibility charts, TCU adaptation and reset procedures for specific vehicle models, and diagnostic guidance for post-installation fault codes. We also produce and distribute video guides for common procedures — transmission-to-engine mating, fluid fill and level check, and shift-cable adjustment procedures.
Spare Parts Availability
Transmission failure is rarely a complete-unit event — often it is a single component. We maintain a standalone spare parts catalog with gasket and seal kits, solenoid valve packs, valve body assemblies, torque converters, clutch friction-and-steel kits, bearing and bushing kits, and oil pump assemblies. These are available in lower MOQ than complete transmissions, enabling your workshops to repair instead of replace when appropriate. This supports your after-sales business and builds end-customer loyalty.
Distributor-Level Benefits
Exclusive and contract distributors receive additional support. Extended warranty programs can be structured to your market's competitive requirements — for example, 24-month coverage as a market differentiator, with the incremental cost built into your transfer price. Monthly warranty performance reports track claim rates by SKU and failure mode, giving you data to manage your own quality conversations with workshops. Technical service bulletins alert your team to emerging patterns so you can proactively communicate with customers before they encounter issues. We view after-sales as a partnership function, not a cost center — a well-supported distributor sells more transmissions and generates fewer claims, which benefits both businesses.
