What are your payment terms for B2B transmission importers?

We offer payment structures aligned with international trade norms while providing increasing flexibility as our business relationship matures. Our approach balances the legitimate need for payment security on our side with the importer's need to manage cash flow and minimize financial exposure on large orders.

Payment Terms by Partnership Stage

For new customers placing trial orders, our standard terms are 30% deposit via Telegraphic Transfer against the Proforma Invoice, with the 70% balance paid before shipment. This structure is typical for first-time transactions in the automotive parts export industry. Once you have completed three or more orders with a clean payment history, you qualify for established-partner terms: 30% T/T deposit with the 70% balance payable against a scanned copy of the Bill of Lading. This is a significant cash flow improvement because it means you pay the balance once the goods are on the water, not before they leave the factory. After six months of consistent ordering, contract partners can negotiate terms as favorable as 20% deposit with balance against shipping documents. For long-term strategic partners who order monthly, we can arrange open-account terms or Letter of Credit at sight, subject to a credit review process that typically includes trade references, bank references, and a review of your company registration and import history.

Accepted Payment Instruments

T/T is our preferred method — it is fast, traceable, and cost-effective for both parties. We accept Irrevocable Letters of Credit at sight confirmed by major Chinese banks including Bank of China, ICBC, China Construction Bank, and Agricultural Bank of China. For established contract partners, we can also accept L/C at 30, 60, or 90 days from the Bill of Lading date, subject to credit approval. Western Union is accepted only for small amounts under USD 2,000 — typically for sample freight payments or documentation amendment fees. We also support Alibaba Trade Assurance for importers who prefer the platform's order-protection mechanism and supplier verification.

Multi-Currency Settlement

Our primary trading currency is USD, and all standard prices are quoted in US Dollars. We also accept payments in EUR, GBP, AUD, and RMB. The exchange rate applied is the Bank of China daily spot rate on the date your payment is received in our account. We recommend importers pay in USD whenever possible to avoid double currency conversion — converting your local currency to RMB via USD often incurs two spreads rather than one.

Payment Security and Verification

Every transaction begins with a Proforma Invoice that includes our full corporate name, registered address, bank name, account number, SWIFT code, and bank address. We encourage buyers to independently verify our banking details through their own bank's compliance department before transferring funds — this is standard due diligence and we take no offense. Upon receiving payment, we confirm receipt within one to two business days and issue a Payment Receipt Confirmation. The production clock starts from this confirmation date, which is clearly stated in the P.O. so there is no ambiguity about when lead time begins.

What We Do Not Accept

To set clear expectations and avoid wasted time on both sides, we do not accept personal checks, company checks, Cash on Delivery, or consignment stock arrangements. We also do not engage in barter, offset, or counter-trade arrangements. Our payment policy is conservative by design — it protects both parties from the complications that arise with non-standard payment instruments in cross-border trade.

Building Towards Open Account

Importers who aspire to open-account terms — paying 30 or 60 days after shipment — should view our payment-term progression as a credit-building path. Consistent on-time payments, growing order volumes, and clean communication build your creditworthiness with our finance team. After roughly 12 to 18 months of partnership, most regular importers qualify for open-account terms with a credit limit that grows alongside your order volume. We report this timeline transparently so you can model your working capital requirements accordingly.
