What is your production lead time and how do you handle urgent orders?

We understand that for a B2B importer, lead time is not just about when products arrive — it directly impacts your working capital cycle, your ability to fulfill your own customers' orders, and ultimately your reputation in your local market. We have spent years refining our production scheduling and logistics coordination to deliver reliable, predictable lead times that importers can plan their inventory around.

Standard Production Lead Times

For trial orders of 20 to 50 units, our standard production window is 7 to 15 working days from receipt of deposit and confirmed P.O., plus 2 to 3 days for final inspection, packaging, and export documentation preparation. This means the goods are ready for collection at our factory — the Ex-Works date — within 9 to 18 days. Regular production orders of 51 to 200 units require 15 to 25 working days for production and 3 to 5 days for pre-shipment preparation, yielding an Ex-Works window of 18 to 30 days. Bulk orders of 200 to 500 units extend to 25 to 40 working days of production time, with 5 to 7 days of pre-shipment processing. For contracts exceeding 500 units, we establish a dedicated production schedule with weekly progress reports and milestone-based partial shipments to keep your inventory flowing.

Sea Freight Transit Time Reference

Once cargo leaves our factory, ocean transit time depends on your destination. Shipments to Southeast Asian ports typically take 7 to 12 days. The Middle East, East Africa, and the U.S. West Coast range from 15 to 20 days. European ports require 25 to 35 days, while the U.S. East Coast, West Africa, and most South American destinations take 30 to 45 days depending on port congestion and transshipment routing. These estimates assume direct or single-transshipment routings from major Chinese ports including Shanghai, Ningbo, Shenzhen, and Qingdao.

Pre-Chinese New Year Planning

One critical factor that catches new importers off guard is Chinese New Year. For approximately 3-4 weeks surrounding the holiday, factory production stops and logistics costs spike. We send all B2B partners a holiday production cutoff calendar by November each year. As a rule of thumb, if you need inventory in your warehouse by March, your P.O. should be confirmed and deposit paid no later than mid-December to ensure pre-holiday production and pre-holiday vessel booking.

Expedited and Emergency Order Handling

We maintain a priority production slot allocation of roughly 10% of our total manufacturing capacity, which allows us to accelerate urgent orders by 30-40% at a surcharge of 10-15%. For truly time-critical situations — such as a key customer's production line being stopped — we can ship up to 5 units by air freight to major international airports, with a total door-to-airport time of 3 to 7 days. Air freight is expensive but can save a distributor relationship worth far more than the freight premium.

Buffer Stock and Forecasting

For Gold and Platinum tier partners, we maintain buffer stock of their top 20 SKUs in our bonded warehouse. This means we can ship those part numbers within 48 hours of receiving a P.O., bypassing the production queue entirely. We also provide free inventory forecasting support: send us your last 12 months of sales data, and our planning team will recommend optimal reorder quantities and timing to minimize both stockouts and holding costs.

On-Time Delivery Track Record

We track and report our on-time delivery rate — currently at 95% or above across all order sizes. Quarterly, we share this metric with contract partners along with root-cause analysis of any delayed shipments. Reliability is not a marketing claim for us; it is a measured and managed operational KPI that impacts our team's performance bonuses.
